M
The woman was scribbling furiously in a leather bound notebook. She looked up at Jonny and a fiery red mop of hair parted to reveal her face. She was somewhere past middle-age and her stare was intense. Her eyes were icey blue and her skin wrinkled. She wore a smart white blouse and a pinstripe fitted suit.
- Book I, T-Minus
Little is known about M, not even her name, what is known is that she's a high-ranking member of an underground Martian alliance. Operating a heralding service out of New York, M meets Jonny after he returns from prison, and needs to open a line of communication with his girlfriend. At the start of 2003, laws were passed across Earth to abolish non-governmental correspondents between planets, resulting in the need for illegal alternatives. The anarcho-communist philosophies of The Red Planet were never designed to live alongside the politics of capitalism, unfortunately, fifty-million miles isn't far enough away. As tensions rise from the ground and into the vacuum of space, sending a simple letter has become a secretive and costly affair, introducing characters of an unsavoury and violent variety.
“So you the person to talk to, huh?”
“No. You’ll likely never see me again. You’ll be dealing with my associates if we move ahead. But first, I need to know your intentions.”
